The children were a joy to watch as they chatted to Santa and it was great to see neighbours and friends enjoying mulled wine, mince pies and other goodies.  Team Christmas (thanks, Jen Zeffert for coining the name!) will be out and about in Ifold on December 15th 2017, so save the date now!!!
This event raised £88  for Macmillan. IFRA thanks all those who contributed.

KIPHRA during rehearsals at Kelsey Hall.

KIPHRA  (Kirdford, Ifold and Plaistow Handbell Ringers Association) meet every Thursday in Kelsey Hall.
They held their Christmas Concert on Thursday 8th December 2016 at Foxbridge Golf Club
“Our recent handbell concert at the Foxbridge Golf Club was a bit of a ‘Ding Dong Merrily’ event and was very well received by the audience.  With the help of a glass or two of mulled wine everyone soon got into the Christmas spirit, and by the second half the audience were singing along with gusto.
We were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who had come to support us and extra chairs were found to accommodate everyone!
In between each piece of music our Director, Tim, spiced things up a bit by asking the audience to share their favourite Christmas joke.  At the end of the evening the audience were asked to vote, by applause, for the winner and the result was a tie between a rather saucy one and a topically political one!
As the concert came to a close there were calls for an encore so we performed  ‘Winter Wonderland’ again, which the audience heartily sang along with to create a fitting finale.
We were all very pleased with how well the evening had gone. Many thanks to the Foxbridge Golf Club for the use of their facilities.
Our next concert will be in the Summer of 2017.  Don’t miss it!!!!!”

Kelsey Hall IfoldA Working Party for an autumnal clear up at Kelsey Hall took place on Sunday 20th November.
A huge thank you from KHMC to those volunteers who helped to trim back branches and shrubs around the car park.
A very thorough job was done and special thanks go to Jon Pearce (and Emma for volunteering him!) who kindly made several trips with his trailer to clear the prunings. Their daughter Jasmine had her own mini trailer and presided over the loading of all the prunings and made sure nothing fell off during each journey to and fro!
Thanks also to Wendy Gravestock for providing refreshments and a delicious selection of biscuits!

It sounds like they had a fabulous evening. Here is their report:
“What an amazing night!
We were entertained by a live band called ‘Orange’ and DJ Mike. We had booze, burgers, boogieing, lots of 80s fancy dress, a great auction and a special video appearance from Simon Le Bon! This all happened to raise money for Little Acorns and all under one roof! A big thank you to our dedicated committee, the band ’Orange’ and in particular our talented Caroline, Nell Cox’s mum.  We had some amazing donations for our auction, which alone raised £1,160. Thank you to everyone who supported this event and made it a fantastic night. We are pleased to say that in total we raised £2,400, which will help towards updating our outside space. Who knows we might be mad enough to organise another event, so if you have any ideas please share them with our committee.”
